Job Description:

Produce both long and short-form video content for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies and Toronto Argos.

Our teams create high-impact, award winning content that entertains and engages a diverse array of fans from all over the world.

We are looking for a results oriented individual who will help to lead all aspects of the creation and distribution of content.

Our multi-platform content needs to be meaningful, have measurable impact and achieve critical metrics while supporting our strategic brand goals.

This individual will lead a wide variety of productions, including but not limited to multi-platform social and digital content, ED&I based content supporting MLSE's dedication to inclusion, brand campaigns, long and short form series, in-arena videos and more.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Supervising Producer (Department Leader), senior team members and clients to create outstanding content to support our Blue brands and teams.
  • Collaborate with team front office personnel and other brand personnel on storytelling and promotional projects.
  • Use your expertise as a creator to develop content that feed into our digital strategy.
  • Research storylines, craft interview questions, conduct sitdown interviews.
  • Conduct preproduction planning, coordinate onlocation shoots between production teams, direct production on set.
  • Oversee edits and the assembly of graphic elements, and ensure content is delivered to all digital platforms on time.
  • Creatively capture video content in the field when required.
  • Edit and process footage using fieldbased editing hardware/software if required.
  • Understand emerging content trends and technologies to ensure our content adheres to industry standard processes.
  • Ensure that content meets the overall creative and brand objectives.
  • Deliver work that is aligned to the brief, meets timelines and is on budget.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in EDI content is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of content creation and related experience, particularly in the areas of web, social and other emerging platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Superb organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects at once, and clearly articulate priorities and objectives to their team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with Executive Leaders and Front Office executives
  • Fantastic presentation skills and ability to articulate strategies to ladder into content development ideas.
  • Indepth knowledge of multichannel content models and industry trends, as well as best practices in how brands can leverage multiple digital channels.
  • Proven creative and strategic problem solver
  • Flexible hours and a willingness to work onsite at any one of MLSE's venues
