Scope:


Reporting to the Sr Director, Financial Services, the Manager, Business Planning and Enterprise Performance Management is responsible for planning, design, and implementation of our company's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) strategy, processes, and tools to drive effective decision-making, performance monitoring, and reporting across the organization.

The Manager will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across functional areas to ensure alignment and successful execution of EPM initiatives.


Key functions and responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement an EPM framework, including KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to track and communicate performance across the organization.
  • In collaboration with crossfunctional teams, identify key business drivers and trends, and use data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to improve performance and inform strategic decisionmaking.
  • Part of a team responsible for managing and coordinating the company's annual budgeting process. This is inclusive of actively participate in the Business Planning process, including the annual operating plans, multiyear financial plans, departmental and capital budgets, including the review, analysis, and presentation materials for the Board of Directors.
  • Assist in leading processes and communications companywide, by regularly working with department budget owners across the organization to monitor and revise budgets/forecasts throughout the year for both operating expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure that effective financial and accounting managing processes/systems and controls are developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with corporate/branch financial and accounting policies and requirements.
  • Monitor, analyze and report financial performance of Air Canada and its Business units/against plans/budgets and ensure corrective actions are undertaken as required; perform postevaluations of projects/programs as appropriate to assess actual versus target results.
  • Support the implementation of EPM initiatives, including system upgrades, process improvements, and training programs for endusers.
  • Participate in financial audits as required, including post audits on business case value realization, and manage various ad hoc financial reporting projects and requests in support of senior management.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required.
  • Professional designation an asset.
  • Experience/knowledge of company/airline operations is an asset.
  • At least 5 years of relevant in experience in enterprise performance management, financial planning and analysis, or related field
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office. In particular, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or other data management or analytics tools, an asset.
  • Results driven with demonstrated strong financial and technical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills oral and written.
  • Demonstrated record of initiative and work ethic. Must be able to work independently as well as be adaptable and reliable.
  • Good organization skills and ability to work under pressure.
