1. ROLE SUMMARY


Responsible in facilitating the Bank's initiatives in conveying its strategy, strengths, uniqueness and important messages to stakeholders via proactive publicity in the market, in order to enhance its brand awareness and market influence.


2.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Public Relations_


  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the Bank, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
  • Apprise PR consultant on highlights of the Bank's business strategies and operations, which can be used as basis for public communication.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists.
  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
  • Monitor local daily news and public opinion regarding the Bank in a timely manner, and prepare reports to management, highlighting items that may have any negative or unfavorable impact on the Bank's reputation. Feedbacks from market and regulators should likewise be monitored and reported. Monitor local daily news regarding the industry and prepare consolidated clippings for management's reference.
  • Anticipate and identify issues that may have an impact on business and provide insight, analysis and counsel to management.
  • Actively engage with the functional and business peers to build and safeguard the reputation of the Bank, including in-depth understanding and risk escalation of business and customer trends that could impact the business' reputation and performance.

Internal Communications_


  • Introduce and facilitate communication platforms to disseminate relevant and meaningful information within the organization.
  • Lead the creation of exciting content and message to employees about the Bank's progress and priorities, aligned to the Bank's missions, strategy and values, promote employer advocacy and help promote employee engagement through inspiring communication initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the different units in the organization in communicating internal policies and guidelines.

Corporate Social Responsibility_


  • Recommend and implement CSR programs as aligned with the Bank's strategies.
  • Enhance promotion to raise internal awareness of CSR and facilitate its implementation.
  • Coordinate the generation of publicity around the Bank's CSR initiatives.

Digital Transformation

  • Be part of the Bank's digital transformation efforts including but not limited to, being assigned to agile teams, and work on the required deliverables or take on additional business as usual functions designated by department/unit heads

Customer-Centric Culture_


  • Participate in customer-centric projects, initiatives and programs led by designated teams in the organization.

Marketing and Advertising_


  • Responsible for the centralized management of brand communications, advertising and promotion activities of the Bank in line with the BOC's brand guidelines
  • Guide and support the advertising and promotion projects of the Bank's business units
  • Oversee media placements and manage the owned digital communication channels of the Bank such as the website and official social media company pages

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • University degree
  • At least three (3) years related experience in Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Marketing, or related filed.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and French can be an asset
  • Ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to interact with audience; transmit the messages with clarity; engage the audience in the presentation and interpret and understand the mindset of the listeners.
  • Ability to understand and be in the know of the important and latest communication media trends that matter most to the organization.
