What You Will Get To Do-Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities (Arenas) the Facility Attendant is responsible for:

the general maintenance, cleaning and repairs of the facility and grounds;

- the maintenance of ice surfaces, including the operation of an ice resurfacing machine, light motorized vehicles and other related equipment;
- maintaining pool and water filtration system;
- responding to public and staff inquiries;
- providing training, advice and direction to part-time maintenance staff; and
- other duties as may be required.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:
minimum of Grade 12 education;

- possess at least twelve (12) months of experience in a recreation facility with an arena operation;
- possess at least twelve (12) months of general maintenance experience with six (6) months of ice maintenance related experience;
- maintain, in good standing, a valid Class "G" Driver's Licence,
- current certifications in Certified Pool Operator (CPO); Basic Refrigeration; and Safe Ice Resurfacer Operator, maintained in good standing;

Working At Heights or Lift Specific Certification

- current certification in CPR/AED (Level C) and Emergency First Aid; and
- a valid, satisfactory police criminal record check to work with the vulnerable sector.
