The Role
Edmonton Kenworth Ltd. is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who is tasked with a multitude of A/P related tasks.
Reporting in to the Controller, the role is assigned a substantial amount of responsibilities related to reviewing, entering and processing of vendor invoices.
The position is also accountable for reviewing existing processes and procedures and will play a key role in the development of procedure as required.
This position will have access to a vast array of information and the incumbent's ability to make sound and operationally viable decisions will directly impact the operations of the company.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable processing, reporting and required analysis
Assist all department managers in researching expenditures and allocations
Requirements:
- Certificate and/or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Accounts Payable designation or working towards one would be considered an asset
- The position requires at least three (5) years of experience in accounts payable with progressively responsible work experience
- Supervisory experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong computer skills
