Overview
teachers, students, We are seeking a dedicated and organized Educational Assistant to support classroom activities and enhance student learning experiences. This role involves working closely with a neurodiverse child, students and Educators to foster a positive educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong child guidance skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for education. Prior experience in working with Special Needs children, ABA and children on the spectrum would be a great asset. This position is part time to start but with time, can develop into a full time position within three months.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing programming and classroom activities.
- Assist neurodiverse child to integrate into the classroom and preparing them for JK in the Fall.
- Teaching the neurodiverse child how to share the classroom activities and follow our routines.
- Collect and organize data related to student progress and behaviour.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions.
- The ability to work in a team of seven Educators along with the Director.
Experience
- Working with children on the spectrum an asset.
- Having ABA experience an asset.
- Strong child behaviour guidance skill an asset.
Requirements
- Experience in the field working with children 2.5 to 4 years old
- A Vulnerable Sector Check under six months old.
- An up-to-date immunization record
- First Aid CPR, Level C

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
