Global Banking and Markets


Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.

Purpose
The Audit Confirmation Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of audit requests received from external auditors.

In addition, they must interpret the requests to ensure all the required information is on the request and is coming from the appropriate individuals with authorized signatures.

The analyst must be able to identify and escalate potential risk to senior management.

It is imperative to possess very good knowledge of the products and systems relating to the information being requested as there are very tight deadlines to meet frequently.


Accountabilities

  • Responsible for forwarding requests with financial information to various business lines within GWO, following up on these requests, and responding to auditors, internal and external clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with the coordination of all internal and external audits within the GWO reconciliation teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all information requested is reviewed for accuracy, any discrepancies are followed up and/or escalated and finally returning requested information back to the requestor within prescribed timelines.
  • Assemble metrics for management to keep track of incoming and outgoing audit confirmation requests.
  • Understanding departmental and client needs while collaborating with our business partners to focus on building strong relationships and encourage positive experiences.
  • Provide training, back up and assistance for all new team members.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Requirements:


  • 13 years of Customer Service experience
  • Ability to understand business language and translate into technical terminology
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard officebased environment
- non-standard hours are a very common occurrence, especially during peak times (November to April)
