As our Document Control & Process Supervisor, you'll put your organizational and analytical skills to the test by ensuring consistency across all of FortisBC's Major Projects portfolios.

You'll use your eye for efficiency to improve current processes as well as build new ones from scratch.

You'll be a "go-to" person in Major Projects Risk and Governance for a range of professionals, both new and experienced, looking for guidance on all things process-related.


In this role, you will:
Oversee document control standard practices and ensure continuous compliance throughout the Major Projects Department.
Drive improvements and efficiencies control and procedures and processes.

Recruit, coach, and develop team members across the Major Project groups to directly support the governance functions of the Major Projects Risk Control Group.

Set policies and procedures, and create systems to establish information management best practices across the various project groups.
Assist in the completion and tracking of risk and compliance deliverables. Responsible for compliance metrics.

Organize and facilitate working sessions/meetings, track progress and prepare status communications as appropriate on behalf of the MPRG team across the Major Project Department.

Be responsible for documenting and communicating processes and procedures to the various Major Project groups and ensure regular reviews of risk, documentation, invoicing, and scheduling processes are completed.

Triage, analyze and coordinate process deliverables according to the risk framework, assist in the completion and tracking of risk and compliance deliverables such as job-aids and communication tools


Provide direction and oversight for the following processes:
WBS creation, ownership and tracking
Document control
Invoicing
Cost/Scheduling and other Project Process Documentation
Perform scheduled and ad-hoc control audits.
Support the SharePoint training of all administrators and members.

Ensure that the transfer of project close out documents to the archiving group is completed in accordance with standard requirements in a timely manner.

Build strong partnerships with each project team while providing new and refined processes


What it takes:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a document control and/or process/change environment
Experience working with Sharepoint and its administrator functions
Ability to multi-task and organize various projects at any given time
Natural ability to connect with people and build strong, genuine partnerships
Transparent, to the point, and able to take complex details and put them into simple human speak
A natural problem-solver, who is also intuitively analytical and creative
A leader by heart with an ability to coach, offer honest insights and a passion for growing people
