We are excited to share this opportunity to join our team as a General Production Worker.

This
permanent, full-time role, reporting to the Production Manager, will be based out of Richmond BC with adhoc time spent onsite supporting our Delta BC location.


Foley's production facility
operates on a three shift schedule (6:30am - 3:00pm, 2:30pm - 11pm & 10:30pm - 7amm) and
all employees are expected to operate within a flexible scheduling / rotation environment.

A shift premium is available when working the overnight shift of 11pm-730am.


Under direct supervision, the general production worker's (GPW) primary role is to provide assistance to all areas of production, ensuring that quality production is achieved on time and on schedule while following all health & safety and quality standards.

the GPW weighs, measures and prepares ingredients and transports raw material, finished product and/or packaging material throughout the plant.

they are responsible for the general cleaning of work areas and equipment to food quality standards; assisting process control and machine operators in performing their duties; processing, recording and maintaining accurate paperwork including lot tracking and capturing production data; and assisting in other areas as required and relevant to the position.

all production staff are required to operate within a flexible work hour environment.


Reporting to the Production Supervisor / Manager, duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Reads, weighs, measures and prepares ingredients and work in progress (WIP) for production
  • Feeds defined quantities of ingredients to hoppers and/or mixing machines according to quality standards; labels boxes and pails accurately.
  • Processes, records, and maintains accurate paperwork including lot tracking & capturing production data.
  • Transports raw materials, finished product, and/or packaging materials throughout the plant and warehouse manually and/or with powered equipment (electric/manual pallet jack).
  • Assists in other areas as required. Assists process control and machine operators in performing their duties
  • Ensures an adequate supply of raw materials, semifinished product and materials packing lists to feed baggers
  • Washes and prepares equipment and/or facilities (e.g. trays, conveyor belts, skids, hoppers, scales, machines, etc.) in a safe and timely manner using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures in maintaining a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time, without advanced notice.

Minimum Skills Knowledge & Education Required:

  • Follow directions and communicate in English, both orally and in writing
  • Work in a variety of environments including wet, humid, particulate (dusty), cold, hot, and indoor/outdoor
  • Perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods (810 hrs)
  • Lift up to 25 kgs. on a regular basis
  • Work accurately with numbers and basic calculations
  • Solve basic to moderate problems, organize and accomplish tasks within set timeframes
  • Exercise manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
  • Work well in a team environment; strong cando/ service attitude
  • Maintain a continuous improvement and learning orientation; adaptable and open to change
  • Highschool diploma/GED and 1+ year of related experience
