CASCADES FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

Your Challenge
Reporting to the Cascades Flexible Packaging Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the performance related to production lines. This position is a fulltime salaried opportunity based out of Mississauga, ON.
Roles and Responsibilities
Creates and executes a daily action plan for printing press operations, standards and product specifications
Implement quality controls and monitor performance parameters
Ensures shift handover meetings take place with emphasis on improvements for incoming team
Recommend and expedite system solutions, troubleshooting and modifications to existing equipment to improve and optimize operations
Optimize production planning, manage work interruptions, implement systems and work methods to consistently meet deadlines, cost and quality initiatives
Manages operators' schedule weekly, makes changes due to labor shortage, absences, etc.
Take initiative to focus on continuous improvement for team development, provide resources and technological expertise to the printing press department
Measures employee's performance, coaches employees, conducts annual evaluations and recommends improvements
Any other related duties as requested by the plant manager

Qualifications

College or University degree in related disciplines an asset

years management experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
