CASCADES FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

  • Your Challenge
  • Reporting to the Cascades Flexible Packaging Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the performance related to production lines. This position is a fulltime salaried opportunity based out of Mississauga, ON.
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Creates and executes a daily action plan for printing press operations, standards and product specifications
  • Implement quality controls and monitor performance parameters
  • Ensures shift handover meetings take place with emphasis on improvements for incoming team
  • Recommend and expedite system solutions, troubleshooting and modifications to existing equipment to improve and optimize operations
  • Optimize production planning, manage work interruptions, implement systems and work methods to consistently meet deadlines, cost and quality initiatives
  • Manages operators' schedule weekly, makes changes due to labor shortage, absences, etc.
  • Take initiative to focus on continuous improvement for team development, provide resources and technological expertise to the printing press department
  • Measures employee's performance, coaches employees, conducts annual evaluations and recommends improvements
  • Any other related duties as requested by the plant manager


  • Qualifications

  • College or University degree in related disciplines an asset
years management experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
