    The opportunity:

    MT Talent is happy to partner with a reputable HVAC manufacturer's representative offering world-class HVAC solutions across Ontario for over 30 years. As their business flourishes, they are looking to add Territory Sales Representatives for the Burlington and Tri-Cities territories.

    The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of products and equipment to contractors, as well as developing and maintaining customer, contractor and vendor relationships. Dealing with high-level accounts, this role requires individuals with previous experience in the HVAC sector, whether sales or in a hands-on capacity that can act as a strategic and consultative partner.

  • Here's what you'll be doing in the role:

  • Provide input on quotes/bids for projects regarding equipment design and selection
  • Provide detailed evaluations of competitive products to communicate value of the company's product solutions to stakeholders
  • Participate in networking and business development opportunities, such as charity and social events, trade shows and professional conferences, client lunches or meetings
  • lunches with clients, charity events, and society events presentations to customers on new products
  • Visit customer project sites regularly
  • Connect with new and prospective customers to build relationships and provide information about new products and technology
  • Assist with troubleshooting any issues arising with mechanical equipment
  • Coordinate with Technical Support Team as required
  • Assist design build contactors with the project design and act as a point of contact for any issues that may arise
  • Complete required product training to remain up to date and informed on newest technologies
  • May assist in training new employees on products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators on product selection, pricing and take-offs
  • Here's what you bring to the role:

  • 2 or more years of experience in a Sales role within the HVAC market
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Business highly desired. Licensed HVAC/Gas Technician with strong sales skills also will be considered.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and perform accurate take-offs and pricing
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a proven knowledge of sales techniques
  • Previous experience in quoting and/or project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is an asset. Experience multi-tasking with a proven ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and KPI's is required.
  • Working knowledge of The Ontario Building Code and associated ASHRAE Standards is required
  • Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, CRM software. NetSuite experience is an asset. Experience with HVAC industry software is highly preferred.
