Summary of Position:
- Equipment and premises maintenance ensuring the safe operation, maximum operating time, and service to production needs
- Flexible work hours, minimum 40 hours a week with opportunity for weekend & overtime work.
- High commitment to safety and excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with a team player mentality.
- Able to conduct and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and checklists, complete work orders, and ensure any parts that are used are documented for reordering.
- Able to troubleshoot, identify deficiencies, read schematics and blueprints as well as consulting equipment manuals.
- Provide technical support, replacing parts, adjusting settings, confirming proper operation, and making recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Read and follow assembly drawings, prints, and instructions.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.

- Spare parts inventory coordination with maintenance buyer

Ideal Mechanical Qualifications:
- Electrical certificate (442A or 309A)
- Mandatory
- Skilled in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and schematics
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience
- Experience with control panels
- Experience with electrical drawings and blueprints is a must.
- Ability to use all electrical testing equipment
- VM, Megger etc.
- Welding experience is strongly preferred (MIG, TIG and etc)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible to work at both plants, all shifts and weekends as required
- Proven to work with minimum supervision
- Food industry and manufacturing experience preferred
- Forming equipment experience preferred
- Proficient user of maintenance programs (CMMS) and computer literacy
- Flexible for oncall requirements and overtime
- Ability to learn operation of forklift, manlift, and other material handling mobile equipment.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools
- Willingness to work at heights
- Ability to use simple math to perform basic calculations.
- Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools such as tape measure, level, or square.
- Solid problemsolving skills.
- Willingness to work additional hours (OT) in order to meet tight deadlines.
