Reporting to the Evaluation and Impact Manager, the Evaluation & Impact Specialist is involved in multiple evaluation tasks.

Peak periods of the year - April to June and November through January - experience high volumes of work and competing demands.

This is a contract term position ending June 2025.


What you will do:


  • Design and implement quantitative and qualitative evaluations
  • Manage, clean, analyze, interpret, and present data
  • Create reports for internal audiences and funders
  • Perform literature and research reviews
  • Other duties as required

What you will bring:


  • Graduate degree in the social sciences, public health, or a related field is required
  • Minimum three years' experience with quantitative project evaluation
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative evaluations
  • Experience completing literature reviews
  • Experience as an evaluation assistant or associate is an asset
  • Highly skilled in data management and analysis, with strong competence in SPSS and Excel
  • Familiarity with the social determinants of health and vulnerable populations
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required
  • Good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to receive direction and to collaborate with others to achieve agreed upon goals
  • Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork
  • Ability to work in a changing, sometimes higher stress, work environment
  • A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal record clearance is required
  • Knowledge of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) and the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions (TRC) 94 Calls to Action considered an asset
  • Willingness to work within antiracist and antioppressive frameworks and actively engage in ongoing learning about these frameworks

Work Environment:


  • Main Office nd Avenue SE
  • 1.0 FTE (37.5 hrs/week)
  • Contract term position from June 10, 2024 to June 202
  • Standard hours 8:30am 4:30pm Monday-Friday, some flexibility is available
  • Extended periods of sitting and/or standing
