About the role:
_**Reporting to our Payroll Manager, the
Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of U.S. payroll involving corporate and multi-unit, multi-state retail field operations teams.

A little more about the role and responsibilities: _**- Support the processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 5000+ employees

  • Respond to Payroll queries and employee requests in a timely fashion
  • Review and establish trends in timecard, payroll, and expense data
  • Assist in reconciling and validating payroll before processing
  • Payroll Auditing: internal and external
  • Develop strong controls within the payroll team to manage a fastpaced environment with tight timelines
  • Produce and review cashflow with Payroll Manager & Director of Finance
  • Acting as a team lead in the absence of the Payroll Manager
  • Work closely with Finance & Payroll Managers to complete bank reconciliations
  • Work closely with HR/Benefits to reconcile benefits premiums
  • Reporting: Excel, ADP, Concur, etc.
  • Respond to federal/state inquiries

Required skills:
_**- Minimum of 5 years of US payroll experience, either as an specialist, analyst or coordinator/above

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Solid experience in yearend and quarterly filings and reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience building and maintaining SOPs, and best practices
  • Ability to work independently in a fastpaced, dynamic environment as well as in groups
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish is an asset but not required
  • CPA/APA designations or relevant course experience is an asset but not required
