Job description
I'm an economist based in Europe, building a weekly content series on India's macroeconomic outlook and geopolitical relevance for investors and decision-makers in Europe.
I'm looking for a researcher who is currently based in India to support me with data-driven, verifiable research.Important:
You will NOT write the articles. I write the final pieces in my own voice.
To make your work highly targeted, I will share a draft outline for each article, including the storyline and the key claims I want to make, so you know exactly which facts, data points, and counterarguments I need.
SCOPE
- Current plan 3–5 hours per week (long-term collaboration if quality is strong)
Topics:
India macro (growth drivers, demographics, capex, inflation/monetary policy, external balance, currency), geopolitics/geo-economics (fragmentation, "China+1", trade agreements), and occasional sector snapshots (high level; no stock picking)
TOOLS / SKILLS
- Strong research skills and ability to find and interpret economic and policy data
- Comfortable with Excel (clean tables + basic charting)
- Ability to summarise complex topics into concise, structured bullets
- Familiarity with India's macro data landscape and major Indian business media
- India-based (must be currently living/working in India)
- Economics / Finance / Public Policy background
- Can be an MSc student / PhD candidate looking for part-time work
1. 5–7 lines about your background (economics/research) and confirmation you are currently based in India
- One example of a research brief / memo etc you wrote (can be anonymised)
- List 5 sources you would typically use for India macro + geopolitics research (mix of primary + media sources)
- Your hourly rate and your weekly availability (preferred days)

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
