ABOUT THE TEAM


As part of PSP's Technology & Digital Strategy group, the Digital Strategy and Innovation team's mandate is to lead the business in the adoption of innovative technologies to foster a more data-driven and insight-driven approach to PSP's investment activities.

Key responsibilities include advising and sharing knowledge with the business in emerging technologies with potential for tangible impacts (e.g., machine learning, NLP, best technology practices, etc.) as well as ideating and incubating in the launch of cross-functional projects that leverage those technologies.


ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Intern, Advanced Analytics, Digital Innovation, you'll:

  • Explore & develop research reports on emerging technologies at the intersection of finance, machine learning and economics-
  • Autonomously run analysis on new data sets focusing on identifying new insights on financial markets-
  • Assist in the development of artificial intelligence projects in finance-
  • Support the digital innovation ideation process researching and building business cases for pipeline of innovation initiatives, working across PSP business units-
  • Build dashboards to present analytical results-
  • Support in the development of PSP-wide views on digital trends and resulting opportunities within PSP and across industries, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders-
  • Ensure preparation and maintenance of presentations required to support various internal and external audiences on digital innovation topics.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED- Currently enrolled in a BSc or MSc in Business Administration / Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or any equivalent degree from a recognized university Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy Effective communications skills, both written and spoken Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research to ideate and innovate Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients Experience with basic statistical analysis (e.g., probabilities, hypothesis testing) Basic programing, ability to work with databases and visualization tools (e.g.

, SQL, Python, Power BI), an asset Familiarity with time-series analysis or machine learning, an asset Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)- At PSP, we aim to _
