Sales & Leasing Consultant


The Sales Consultant is responsible for developing ongoing and long-term relationships with customers while being a product specialist advising customers on the right vehicle purchase.

As a team player, the Sales Consultants strive to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership and provide exceptional customer service while promoting and selling our full range of vehicles.


Job Duties:


  • Responsible for forecasting New and Preowned Sales annually and monthly with the Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for warmly endorsing the Business Office and Business Manager.
  • Responsible for sitting with Sales Manager daily to review traffic and prospect activity.
  • Responsible for New and Used Vehicle Lot Display.
  • Responsible for laying out a daily todo list, outlining their day for the Sales Manager.
  • Obtaining Appraising Tradeins.
  • Attends all Training Initiatives.
  • Attends regular Sales meetings.
  • Ensures all vehicles sold are parked in the appropriate lot area.
  • Ensures that all deals are complete and correct before sending to Business Manager.
  • Talks to as many customers as possible before they leave the dealership.
  • Helps Sales Manager Plan all marketing and advertising for both New and Used.
  • Checks all deliveries for Customers, 2 hours prior to delivery time.
  • Sells aged inventory first.
  • Takes every prospect on a dealership tour during the sales process.
  • Introduces all sold Customers to a Service Advisor at delivery.
  • Puts every prospect in VIN Solutions system for followup.
  • Asks for referrals regularly.
  • Offers pickup and delivery valet for Service clients.
  • Books Service appointments for their customers as requested.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by Sales Manager / General Manager
  • Valid OMVIC certification.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Selfmotivation with an excellent work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve and high attention to detail.
  • Loves a fast pace environment.
  • Computer skills and understanding of technology.
  • Experience with 180 software is considered an asset.
