    Bar Porter (Seasonal Full Time)

    What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
    • Assist with a steady flow of the bar, assisting the bartenders in all operations of mixing cocktails.
    • Prepare mixer, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage
    • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of service areas and equipment
    • Retrieve requisitions and participate in the deep cleaning of the outlet
    • Additional duties as necessary and assigned

    Physical Aspects Include But Are Not Limited To:

    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
    • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
    • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

    You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts.

    Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
    • Previous barback experience preferred
    • Must be have knowledge of various liquors and wines
    • Must have knowledge of mixing and creating basic liquor drinks
    • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility
    • Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
    • Pro-Serve Certificate required prior to commencing employment
    • Required to be of legal age (18 years old) to serve alcohol in Alberta

    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents
