INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR

Role Purpose:


To provide guidance and coordination of the Inventory Control activities necessary to maintain accurate inventory records relative to the client service level agreement.

The Inventory Control Supervisor will assist site Inventory Control and Operations Leadership and Operations Peers in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective action necessary to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.

Customer_

  • Ensure customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements / service level agreements are monitored and reported timely to site leadership.
  • Maximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system
  • Provide required documentation to customer, customer's financial statement auditor or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirements

Team member_

  • Ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
  • Manage site hourly team members
  • Conduct team member performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plans
  • Ensure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levels
  • Ensure team members have proper training and access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely accounted for and adequately maintained

Processes_

  • Manage the planning and execution of proactive cycle counts in accordance with the higher of internal policy or contractual service level compliance
  • Manage the execution of reactive cycle counts for specified process exceptions in accordance with contractual service level compliance
  • Direct a structured problemsolving approach that results in the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and established goals
  • Design and generate appropriate reporting to track Inventory accuracy, variance root cause trends, Financial exposure/liability relating to shrink
  • Manage and/or participate in identifying and resolving variance between WM and customer host system

People Management Responsibilities_

  • Recruitment and Selection: determine labor needs; understand and use the Company's interviewing process and tools; implement on boarding
  • Managing &

Rewarding Performance:

set clear performance expectations; provide regular feedback and reviews; resolve team conflicts; encourage a positive and safe environment; use coaching and corrective action for underperformance; understand and use voluntary/involuntary termination processes.


  • Training & Development: understand and coach others on processes, tools and standards (SOP's); ensure training requirements are met; identify and address skill gaps; discuss career interests.
  • Communication & Engagement: communicate site, company, and other pertinent information to team (pre shift, one on one, etc.); share customer and DHL information on regular basis.

Required Education and Experience
-
Required: 3 or more years' experience in inventory control, logistics or related discipline, required
-
Required:Ability to understand and comply with SOPs for the proper WH processes including compliance with all GDP/GMPs
-
Required: Ability to train and motivate team to create long-term committed employees
-
Preferred: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively and thrive under pressure
-
Preferred: Knowledge of systems such as Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
