Business Travel Sales Manager

Location:
This position is based out of the Radisson BLU and requires travel between our Downtown Hotel portfolio as required.

Silver Hotel Group - Downtown Toronto Hotel Collection is looking for a Business Travel Sales Manager who can analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotels as marketplace leaders.

The Business Travel Sales Manager solicits new and manages existing accounts for the Business Travel segments within our collection of hotels.

Key Responsibilities
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Design and execute the Business Travel strategy for multiple hotels,
  • Analysis of local market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities,
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the hotels and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams,
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current trends in the marketplace,
  • Develop a comprehensive sales action plan and budget for Business Travel using current data and market research to identify opportunities and overcome obstacles,
  • Use existing brand programs to their maximum to further develop business at our collection of hotels,
  • Manage relationships with top corporate accounts between our collection of hotels to meet/exceed goals and grow client loyalty,
  • New Business Development across corporate accounts; solicit new accounts and grow partnerships,
  • Participate in Sales meetings, training, and other salesrelated functions as required,
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Director, Revenue Managers and General Managers to develop sales strategies to improve market share,
  • Establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses,
  • Professionally represent the hotels at trade shows, sales trips, Brand events, FAM trips, and industry meetings,
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients,
  • Work closely with our Marketing team to develop and implement creative local marketing channels,
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions,
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotels to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs,
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director including the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads,
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner,
  • Perform other duties as required.

What We are Looking for...

  • A team player with 2+ years of transient sales experience within the hotel industry;
  • Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills;
  • Advantageous to have local downtown Toronto comp set market knowledge;
  • Experience working with Delphi FDC and Hotelligence.
