Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems.

Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily.

We are currently looking for a Systems Design Intern to join us for a 4 month internship at our Toronto office.

The successful Intern will assist on multiple project activities, and work on some specific initiatives such as script development, KPI update, automation of certain tasks/processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Must be able to Develop, implement & maintain tools and scripts (MS VB, DOORS dxl, etc.), to assist Systems engineers in daytoday activities
Must be able to Perform technical/engineering analysis as required for systems design
Responsible for assisting other members of assigned project team in miscellaneous requirement specification and management activities like the following: a) Importing contract requirements and other documents into IBM Rational DOORS; b) Trace customer contract requirements to system level and/or lower level requirements; c) Prepare documentation for configuration management and customer delivery purposes following established processes and d) Create or modify existing train control system & subsystem requirement specifications, interface requirements & systems design descriptions by analyzing, decomposing, modelling & refining customer requirements
Must be able to accurately reports work progress and estimates to complete the assigned work

Required Skills and Experience:

Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills
Able to work full time hours (40 hours) with the start date and the agreed work term
Software and scripting knowledge
Strong planning and organization skills
Able to learn independently and take initiative
Mathematical and engineering analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Rail signalling, CBTC, and knowledge of specificationdriven systems design (as it applies to computer systems with both hardware and software operation)
