Position Information:
Under the direction of the Vice-Chair Member Support and Director, Human Resources, the Lead, Member Support is responsible for the design and delivery of programs and systems that enhance member (physician) experience and facilitate career satisfaction and goals.
Rotation/Shifts:
Days, 8 hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain training materials, including elearning courses/webinars, presentations, and training manuals;
- Develop content and maintain information on an internal digital platform;
- Identify metrics and evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of training programs, accessibility of information on digital platforms, and other learning and development resources;
- Aid members (physicians) with professional issues by providing career coaching and resources;
- Review, analyze, and assess trends and emerging issues concerning academic career progression, physician wellness, and professional development;
- Facilitate member interest groups, social events, and networking opportunities;
- Assist physicians in navigating the academic promotion process;
- Work closely with Division Heads to understand their members¿ learning and professional development needs; make recommendations and/or create customized programs where appropriate;
- Increase awareness and member utilization of existing programs, services, and opportunities to support or facilitate personal and professional goals;
- Support physician workplace health and safety by assisting in the development and implementation of policies, practices and strategies following EDIA best practices and through advocacy with partner organizations.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 810 years related recent experience in education and/or career development;
- Relevant degree in a related discipline such as Education, Human Resources, or social science or a combination of related education and work experience;
- Certification in one of the following: Career Development Professional (CCDP), Career Development Practitioner (CCCD), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or the International Coaches Federation (ICF);
- Experience working in and leveraging a digital learning and development environment;
- Welldeveloped planning, decisionmaking, analytical, problemsolving and judgment skills;
- Experience in/knowledge of employment counselling and job coaching techniques;
- Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to prepare clear and concise communications in writing;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information;
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies;
- Initiative, dedication, tact and diplomacy;
- General knowledge of academic physician career progression and professional development challenges and opportunities is a strong asset;
- Experience in an academic healthcare environment is an asset;
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French (Level B+) is an asset.
