    Portfolio Resource Coordinator

    Our Portfolio Resource Coordinators (PRC) are responsible for effective implementation and coordination of all ongoing scheduling operations, including administering of leavers, filling open shifts, scheduling overtime, and reducing overtime through strategic initiatives. PRCs also provide administrative support, which includes ensuring accurate data entry in Paladin's Employee Resource Planning (ERP) Software.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule Screening Officers for checkpoints throughout YVR to meet staffing levels as requested by the client
    • Coordinating the start of shifts for screening and non-screening personnel ahead of checkpoint openings to enable thorough equipment testing, briefing sessions, and ensuring sufficient staff presence for timely checkpoint opening
    • Strategically identify open shifts / open lines and work with the Field Managers and Operations Managers to ensure each checkpoint schedule is completely satisfied and adheres to our contractual obligations
    • Allocating the right number of Screening Officers to each checkpoint as part of the re-deployment process, considering specific compliance requirements (ex. training, French-speaking, etc.)
    • Routinely cross-referencing data from client software against Paladin's ERP to identify discrepancies for further investigation
    • Scheduling or cancelling any shifts in the daily schedule as prescribed by the client
    • Functioning as a call-centre agent for scheduling-related inquiries, including responding to phone calls and electronic communications, and escalating communications to appropriate management personnel
    • Administering and performing necessary data entry related to a variety of scheduling related updates (i.e., shift trades, book-offs, vacation requests, and availability updates)
    • Administering Paladin's scheduling software in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for how open shifts are made available to Screening Officers in accordance with seniority and other variables outlined in applicable collective agreements
    • Performing bi-weekly scheduling lockdowns in coordination with the Payroll team
    • Performing monthly scheduling lockdowns in coordination with the Billing team
    • Providing daily and weekly reports to the management team
    • Other duties as needed to meet operational demands

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in a related scheduling role
    • Ability to acquire and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSC)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Related post-secondary education would be considered an asset
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data from reporting systems
    • Knowledge of labour relations and collective agreements
    • Ability to handle confidential employee information with diplomacy and professionalism

    Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

    Work Hours: This team works in a 24/7 environment, so candidates with open availability to work morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts are preferred.

    This role is fully based at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
