    Description

    POSITION TITLE: Shipper / Receiver l

    REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor

    LOCATION: SUDBURY, ON

    MAJOR DUTIES:


    • Ensure incoming products are received into applicable systems accurately and outgoing products

    are packed and shipped appropriately, on-time and traced accordingly in system.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Ship and receive purchased and manufactured parts while ensuring all parts are properly

    identified.


    • Issue required purchased and manufactured parts to sales orders for shipping as applicable.


    • Pack and label containers or parts in order to properly identify their destination and ensure they

    remain protected during shipment.


    • Ensure recorded date, required to verify that parts or components conform to the specified

    requirements, is filed and maintained, as required or delivered to receiving with the parts of

    components as applicable.


    • Process RGVA's to ensure parts are returned to vendors or properly handled.


    • Perform and record cycle counts.


    • Containment and disposition of identified non-conforming parts.


    • Promote and participate in Continuous Improvement, such as Lean Manufacturing and 5S

    principles and objectives etc., in conjunction with Materials Team Lead.


    • Cross functional training within the department.


    • Attend various training courses or programs as required.


    • Assist other departments as directed by the Materials Team Lead.


    • Other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION:


    • Minimum high school diploma or certificate

    EXPERIENCE:


    • Previous experience with MRP / ERP systems


    • Must have superior organization skills


    • Proven computer skills


    • Self-motivated and able to work co-operatively with all levels of the organization


    • Ability to communicate effectively with others


    • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and adjustments to deadlines


    • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast paced team environment


    • Previous forklift experience

    • Orientation


    • WHMIS


    • Forklift training


    • Overhead crane training


    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods for Shipper
