Tool & Die Estimator - Metal Stamping - Etobicoke, Canada - Thunder Tool & Manufacturing Ltd
Description
Prepares process plans and costing models of potential new components and establishing stamping tonnages, material blank sizes.- Review Customer supplied data and document detailed descriptions of jobs quoted.
- Ensure historical data is used to refine the accuracy of quote on an ongoing basis.
- Obtain outside quotes on tools and services as needed.
- Suggest improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the process.
- Act as a liaison between Engineering department, sales department and production facilities to develop accurate quotes.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Metal component & subassembly processing knowledge and related experience.
- Tool & Die Making / Tool & Fixture Designing skills an asset
- Excellent blue print reading skills and GD&T knowledge
- Metal stamping & fabrication experience a must
- Excellent knowledge in die costing models
- Essential knowledge of CAD (VISI/SolidWorks/Key Creator) or similar
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficient MS Office skills (Excel / PPT)
Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year
