The Opportunity:


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the safe operations of the refrigeration plant
  • Maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, compressed air, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Perform repairs and general maintenance duties associated with the refrigeration and boiler systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdown relating to the utilities to ensure mínimal impact to production
  • Complete routine inspection and testing of equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper operations
  • Work together with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes.
  • Understand all operating procedures of our facilities processing equipment and can maintain it.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with governing practices, codes and regulations.
  • Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP. WHIMS, MSDS requirement

Qualifications for this position include:


  • Class "B" Refrigeration Operator designation
  • Millwright and/or Electrician would be an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Driver's license
  • Demonstrated strong all round mechanical & facility maintenance skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$35.00-$40.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Holidays
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

  • Refrigeration Operator Class B Certificate (required)
- air conditioning & refrigeration license (preferred)
- driver's license (preferred)
