Reporting to the Manager, SMB Sales, the Business Sales Consultant role sells into the small/medium business market. This exciting outside B2B sales opportunity is diverse and varies from day to day.
Some days you may be prospecting for and qualifying your essential sales leads, other days you may be meeting with prospects and clients at their office while facilitating business meetings and sales presentations.

- Sell our full suite of voice, data and internet products to small and medium businesses
- Use your entrepreneurial mindset to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain your sales funnel. Hunt for and qualify new leads
- Negotiate sales contracts, and close new business deals
- Identify and analyze our clients' business requirements, propose potential solutions,
- Establish and maintain strong and trusting relationships with Business owners, managers and/or IT decision makers through personal contact and superior customer service
- Within Shaw Communications, Coordinate the activities between planning, operations, and other regions to support the implementation of local and national opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales objectives for Shaw Business services both contracted and uncontracted
- Keep Salesforce CRM up to date and run sales reporting as well as detailed analysis of sales funnel
- Experienced and demonstrated results from sales prospecting activities such as cold calling, door knocking, sales networking and teleprospecting for new business
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales cycle and sales funnel management.
- Success with consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating facetoface customer meetings and sales presentations.
- Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams etc.)
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM is an asset
- Ability to maintain a valid drivers license with out restrictions and a reliable vehicle for use during work.
- Post secondary education in Business Administration or Commerce is an asset.
- Telecommunications experience is an asset
- This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check
