Summary:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the role of the
Field Technician includes, but is not limited to operating a field service truck to complete day-to-day field maintenance services, complete warranty repairs in addition to troubleshooting equipment performance issues and perform overhauls on natural gas equipment including engines, compressors and other related equipment at various customer site locations.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

Working on medium to large stationary natural gas equipment: including but not limited to, engines, compressors (reciprocating, screw), pumps, valves, coolers, panels, generator packages and related machinery
Conducting preventative maintenance inspections
Performing all aspects of repairs and overhauls
Troubleshooting machinery / equipment
Installation and commissioning of new packages
Supervise the maintenance & installation of packages as required
Mentor apprentices as required
Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
Be available to participate in on call rotation for after hour calls as required
All work is to be performed in a safe manner and in accordance with the company HSE policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years' field service work experience
Valid Journeyman Mechanic (NGCT, HD, Auto) or Millwright Certificate
Valid driver's license with the ability and willingness to drive long distances
Ability to lead, direct, motivate and supervise team members
Possess a wellrounded knowledge of engine, generator, and compressor performance and operations; experience with Jenbacher, Waukesha, and Cat considered an asset.
Highly motivated and well organized
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong time management skills.
The ability to work independently and efficiently with mínimal supervision.
Clean drivers abstract must be provided at time of hire
