    Job Title: Amorphous Steel Coremaker

    A Snapshot of Your Day

    The amorphous steel coremaker's main responsibility is to perform equipment setup, adjustment and maintenance and manufacture amorphous cores in accordance with specifications and procedures while ensuring raw materials compliance and production quality.

    What will you do?

  • Set up and adjust equipment.
  • Manufacture amorphous steel cores according to applicable specifications and procedures
  • Ensure raw materials compliance and production quality
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Set the program and make equipment adjustments.
  • Complete the self-check form when required to ensure compliance of raw materials and processes.
  • Feed raw materials to equipment during production using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Record the required information (weight of amorphous core), according to the established procedure.
  • Form the core according to the established procedure, attach and identify it.
  • Take the product to the next stage.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order (lubricate, change parts, blades, etc.)
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on amorphous steel plant equipment.
  • Keep workstations tidy and clean (5S, safety, environment)
  • Notify the supervisor of any non-conformity, equipment breakdown or defect that could prevent operations from running smoothly.
  • What will you need to succeed?

  • Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or equivalent (AESS)
  • DVS in electromechanics (required)
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Manual dexterity and interest in manual work
  • Team spirit and collaboration
  • Priority management, rigour and organizational skills
  • Safe behaviour, prioritization of health and safety
  • Available to work on rotating shifts (Monday to Friday, one week during the day, then one week during the evening, alternating).
