Job Title
CFO - T&O Financial Analyst


What will you do?

  • Play an active role in developing and running monthly financial reporting including monthly forecasting, validation of results, and variance analysis
  • Provide financial governance, including assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual reporting cycle and related reconciliations and standards of documentation
  • Collect data and conduct analysis to reveal trends and drivers, identify and raise issues for attention, and provide recommendations for closure
  • Administer system updates including new transits, hierarchy changes, and MIS updates
  • Work with various data analytic and visualization programs
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve, standardize and streamline current processes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian postsecondary institution with a focus in finance, accounting, computer science, commerce, mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary school and eligible to complete a work term from May to August.
  • Very inquisitive and curious mindset, having the courage and enthusiasm to ask questions
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is selfdriven and capable of working in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work effectively and reliably under pressure

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with data analytics/data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI and/or SQL
  • Previous experience working in a financial environment
  • Experience or understanding of financial analysis and financial reporting
