- To follow instructions and procedures as outlined by the Microbiology Supervisor.
- To perform daily sampling of raw materials and purchased items upon receiving.
- To perform daily sampling of manufactured items and finished goods upon completion.
- To maintain overall sanitation of the sampling booths and their contents.
- To maintain quality documentation logs and checklists.
- To maintain laboratory tracking system log of sampled goods.
- To be able to transition into the chemistry or microbiology laboratory based on Microbiology Supervisor's discretion, performing minor lab testing activities (i.e. Physical testing, media preparation, administration duties).
- Working in compliance with the company's Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.
- Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities.
- To perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Post-Secondary diploma in laboratory sciences an asset.
- Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly.
- Strong command of the English language preferred.
- Work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Able to work shift work and to work overtime to complete projects in a timely fashion as required.
- Forklift experience an asset.
- Must have own transportation to sample products at Twin Oaks.
