Your Opportunity


Specialize in providing exceptional auditing and financial advisory services to a wide range of clients, including a strong focus on First Nations.

With a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the unique financial landscapes of First Nations communities, we are looking for a dedicated Manager to join our team.

This role will lead and manage audits for First Nation clients and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards.


Your Scope:


  • Lead and manage audit engagements for First Nation clients, ensuring deliverables are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide expert advice on financial reporting and governance issues specific to First Nations, incorporating an understanding of the unique aspects of First Nation audits.
  • Ensure all audit work complies with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) and is in accordance with the Financial Reporting Framework for First Nations as recommended by the First Nations Financial Management Board (FNFMB).
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored advice to support the unique needs and aspirations of First Nation communities.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a learning environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the firm's advisory services to assist First Nation clients in financial planning, risk management, and governance best practices.

Your Qualifications:


  • CPA designation, with a strong background in auditing and public practice.
  • At least 35 years of audit experience, with a significant focus on First Nation audits or related sectors.
  • Indepth knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, specifically Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS), Canadian GAAP for NotforProfit Organizations, and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and lead a team with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional excellence and integrity, with an understanding of the cultural and governance frameworks of First Nation communities.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, primarily located in First Nation communities.
