Job Summary
Atlas Global Brands Inc.

and its subsidiaries is seeking an experienced, reliable, self-starter who will be responsible for maintaining the ongoing completeness and execution of the Human Resources programs and policies at any of the assigned sites.

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will undertake a wide range of HR tasks like organizing training, administering employee benefits and leaves, recruiting, payroll, health and safety compliance, and crafting HR policies.

They will ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential and also act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics for the site and escalating day-to-day concerns to the site leader.

This role will be a competent and resourceful individual with a passion for both office administration and human resources. This position will be based out of the Chatham, Ontario facility.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and group situations to a diverse employee base of the organization;
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and rollout policies and procedures for the site;
  • Hyper organized with a sense of urgency to deadlines and ability to multitask to achieve deadlines;
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • High level of sound and independent judgement and reasoning particularly with sensitive personnel and business information;
  • Ability to work independently and occasionally with a direct supervisor who will be remotely based in other company offices;
  • Keen desire to learn about the operations of the company, in a newly regulated industry;
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and demonstrate a high level of discretion at all times ;
  • Proficient computer skills: competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint); SharePoint and other systems;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English;

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee relations, issue resolution, clarification of employment standards, and overall performance management;
  • Partner in all organizational matters deemed necessary, including health and safety compliance and support (JHSC) Joint Health and Safety Committee;
  • Payroll enrolment and group benefits administration, and ongoing analysis in conjunction with employee feedback and best practices;
  • Administer employee satisfaction and engagement practices, as well as assists with action planning based on annual results;
  • Orientation and onboarding for all new hires including review of Employee;
  • Handbook, booking job specific training, and assisting managers with SOP and Work Instruction creation, training, and facilitation;
  • Adhoc reporting, special projects and additional duties as requested;
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflictfree workplace;
  • Undertake tasks in performance management;
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form;
  • Support Office administration when required in areas of office filing, printing, scanning, logging, archiving, etc;
  • Maintain and strive to improve recordkeeping and data filing systems;
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies with Human Resources National team;

Qualifications
Required

  • Post Secondary education with a focus on Human Resources, Business or other related areas;
  • Minimum of 35 years of related Human Resources or Business Management experience;
  • Knowledgeable about Ontario labour standards and interpreting the ESA;
  • Proficient computer skills including Office 365 suite, HRIS (ADP, Dayforce, etc);
  • Highly flexible and able to adapt to change, with concrete interpersonal skills to build relationships within site team and national team;
  • CHRP or membership with CPHR considered an asset;
