ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST


JOB OVERVIEW

Languages:
English


Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Type, review and proofread correspondences, fill up forms and arrange support documents and ensure compliance with Canada's Immigration Procedures and Policies.
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, utilizing knowledge of Canada immigration records and procedures, and control confidential materials and documents
  • Help prepare and update job descriptions and job specifications based on the requirements of the job; assist with the preparation of job postings and advertisements to the right sources.
  • Ensure that all required documentation / reports are prepared and completed in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as required by HR and management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Experience and Specialization


Extensive professional knowledge on Canada's Immigration Policies and Procedures on handling and processing Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW) from outside or inside of Canada, extending TFW work permits, and assisting company management and HR on sponsorship matters for Permanent Residency of TFWs.


Business Equipment and Computer Applications
MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Database software, and MS Office

Salary:
$18.00-$20.50 per hour
