Macklin House Daycare has been providing quality childcare for over 25 years. We are currently searching for an experienced PROGRAM MANAGER

Ensure the daily operations of all sites are running smoothly


They ensure a safe and educational environment for young children, manage teaching staff, develop curricula in coordination with teachers, communicate with parents, and uphold the center's reputation.


Nature and Scope:


The Program Manager, Child Care Administration works closely with the Centre Supervisors, other Program Managers, the Operations Officer and Director on child care program and related matters.

Speed, confidentiality, diplomacy, and accuracy are essential skills for this position. Due to the sensitive nature of the information being handled, a high level of integrity is required.

This position will support supervision and oversight of child care be involved in the development of operating practices, preparing, and reconciling government grants, and analyzing data, while ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.

This position requires occasional travel between communities and offices, with flexible work hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, and some weekends.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Head Office to ensure that all sites are supported
  • Ensure Licensing is in place for all site
  • Perform site visits to ensure compliance and program proficiency.
  • Complete monthly checks for All staff required documents (college of ECE, Immunizations, Vulnerable Sector Screen, First Aid Cpr etc)
  • Visit sites to ensure programs are running smoothly
  • Visit sites to confirm program quality assurance
  • Support Supervisors to create a positive center
  • Support Staff and be a mentor
  • Step in to cover ratio if supply staff not available
  • Collaborate with Head Office to prepare and manage all events, including Winter Break Program, March Break Program, Summer Camp.
  • Support/field any concerns from parents find positive, reasonable solutions
  • Preparation of Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Coordination and oversight of thirdparty invoicing.
  • Preparation of reports and collection of statistical data.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and liaises with the municipal partners on matters pertaining to fee subsidies, reports, statistics, etc.
  • Ensures that enrolment data is shared with the Area Managers, Operations Manager and others as needed.
  • Works with Child Care Managers and Finance to prepare business plans for CWELCC and ongoing monitoring for purposes of reconciliation
  • Supports the child care team with data entry.
  • Ensures consistent operating systems
  • Assists to complete government grant reports and reconciliation

Qualifications:

  • Threeyear post secondary education in business or office administration
  • Previous work experience in a fastpaced and highvolume environment will be an asset
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with registration processes
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills accuracy is essential in written communications and financial documentation
  • Effective Time Management to meet deadlines and working in a team environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Provide a current Police Records Check issued within the past six months
  • Familiar with Child Care Early Years Act

Salary:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
