Job Purpose:


Location:
Burnaby, BC (on site)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work with DV technologist or Compliance engineer on regular projects or special request assigned.
  • Support on the Design Validation or Compliance testing setup
  • Conduct the test following the test plan (under the supervision of the assigned engineer)
  • Support for the 3rd party lab testing setup
  • Analyze the test data and provide the feedback to our internal customers.
  • Work on the test plan / report documentation.
  • Attend the safety audit or lab supporting tasks.
  • Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement & 5S within the organization.

Qualifications:


  • 3rd to 4th year Electrical Engineering / Technology student. 4 or 8month term.
  • Excellent problem solving & communication skills (written & spoken) are a must.
  • Work safety sense is a must.
  • Experience with test equipment / instrument is required (such as power analyzer, oscilloscope, programmable ac/dc source or load banks)
  • Experience of power supply product (or electronics product) testing is preferred.
  • Experience working with 3rd party lab is preferred.
  • Good understanding of PCBA, schematics and wire diagram.
  • Good understanding of product assembly drawings.
  • Ability to work cross functionally as part of a team with mínimal supervision.
