JOB SUMMARY:
The GIS Technician will be responsible for providing mapping products and spatial analysis reporting to support operations.

Essential Functions:

Managing projects and/or project components
Preparing and presenting recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences
Lead GIS projects from conception to completion including defining project scopes, timelines, and deliverables,
Creating, publishing, and managing map services
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workload,
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Populate, maintain data integrity, secure access to restricted data, maintain linkages between databases and update databases as information becomes available,
Ensure clearances are follow provincial regulations.

Requirements:

Postsecondary degree or diploma in Geographic Information Systems
Experience utilizing QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Story Maps, Collector, GPS, PSI Geomatica, programming in Python, Arcade & Visual Basic,
Experience in forestry GIS work
Ability to use Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) in a cloudbased environment.
Preferably located in BC
