Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Loader Operator/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our local team. As a Loader Operator/Heavy Equipment Operator you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the aggregate industry and fill in for vacancies in various areas of our plant.

What You'll Get To Do Operate mobile equipment on Heidelberg Materials property (loader, Excavator.)

  • Load haul trucks using Komatsu 500, 600 loaders
  • Excavator work preparing load sites and bail material to be loaded by loaders.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience operating loaders and excavators.
  • Previous experience in an open pit mine is an asset
- use of loader scales an asset

  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
  • Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of learning through on the job training
  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
