About the Opportunity:
As a member of the Nova Scotia Trauma Program team, the Trauma Registry Informatics Specialist is responsible for comprehensive information on injury in the province, by continuous development and improvement of the Nova Scotia Trauma Registry (NSTR).
The Trauma Registry Informatics Specialist ensures quality, consistent and timely trauma data abstraction and information to support research, program planning &evaluation, benchmarking, performance indicators, injury prevention initiatives, and public policy advocacy.
The Trauma Registry Informatics Specialist participates in data related committees and associations.About You:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Health Information Manager, Canadian Healthcare Association; Health Information Services Program required
- Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) required
- Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island Chapter of CHIMA or applicable professional association required
- Two years' of previous experience working with health data required
- Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) training considered an asset
- Understanding of data quality principals
- Experience using health information systems
- Practical knowledge of working with information management systems for data entry and reporting
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- A skills test may be administered as part of the selection process for this position.
Hours:
- Permanent Fulltime (100%), 75 hours biweekly.
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $30.76 Hourly
