The White Rose project is looking for a Cost Controller to join the team in Argentia, Newfoundland & Toronto.

The Cost Controller will work under the direction of Project Controls Manager and lead the cost control; main areas of responsibility will be actual costs, cost forecasting and reporting in close collaboration with the management team and key stakeholders.


How will you contribute to the team?

  • Capture and record costs, including accruals on a periodical basis.
  • Produce cost forecasts and review with project management.
  • Manage the trending system, from identification of trends, to regular reviews and decisions.
  • Provide input and maintain information for Earned Value management systems in place.
  • Maintain project budgets, participate in and support the change management process.
  • Establish and produce weekly and monthly progress and performance reports, recording variances to planned values and recommending corrective actions.
  • Lead cost engineering activities, including implementation of project management systems and production of timely and accurate actual costs and forecasts.
  • Facilitate project performance review meetings.
  • Identify and report value engineering and cost reduction opportunities.

What will you contribute?

  • Engineering degree in a related field, preferably civil engineering.
  • Strong overall knowledge of project controls and Earned Value Management principles.
  • 10 years of experience with toptier construction / engineering companies in Oil & Gas sector in field engineering and / or project controls.
  • Experience with one or more toptier ERP systems, experience un Dragados systems (iCMS and SPE a plus).
  • Experience in Large projects (> $500M), preferably EPC or Design & Build type projects.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, second language (French or Spanish) an asset.
  • Certified CCP, EVM, PSP from AACEI as asset.
