Job Description:

The
Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing day to day administrative support to the Mental Health and Addictions Program.

This will include the Mental Health Operations Director, Inpatient Managers, the Psychiatrist group as well as other stakeholders in maintaining the efficient operations of the program.

In addition to performing Administrative duties, this role will also function as a primary communications link between the hospital, leaders and the program staff.


Qualifications:


Education:

I. Successful completion of a degree or diploma with a specialty of office administration
II. Completion or comprehension of medical terminology an asset


Experience:

I. Minimum of three to five years' experience working in an administrative role for a Manager/Director preferably in a healthcare setting
II. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe, Teams,


Competencies:

I. Demonstrated commitment to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in difficult situations
II. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using both oral and written format with the ability to take and transcribe minutes for distribution
III. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
IV. Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and meeting tight deadlines
V. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
VI. Demonstrated technical skills - computer software and audio-visual equipment
VII. High level of professionalism, initiative and creativity with a positive, can-do attitude

This position works
on site within the Outpatient Mental Health Program Area supporting the applicable leaders
