Responsibilities:

• Travel to various Vancouver apartment and backyard pools to conduct mobile swim lessons.
• Provide effective instruction under the Lifesaving Society "Swim for Life" program with a few "Coastal Wave" twists
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the needs of each student
• Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and floating
• Facilitate a fun and safe learning environment for students.
• Build rapport with students and their families, fostering a love for swimming that lasts a lifetime.
• Maintain accurate records of the students' progress to write detailed progress cards at the end of the swim term.

Requirements:

- +2 years experience as a swim instructor

• Lifesaving Society Certified with a passion for teaching all ages and abilities.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different locations within the designated service area (car not necessary)
• CPR and First Aid certification (optional).
• Obtain Lifesaving Society Liability Insurance (after hired)
• Available weekday afternoons and weekends preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, because building confidence in the water starts with building trust on land.
• Ability to work independently

• As a mobile swim school, our instructors travel to our clients' pools to teach lessons. Most clients are in walking distance in Downtown Vancouver, but occasionally will be on the other side of downtown. Are you able to travel for work?

Licence/Certification:

• Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification? (preferred)
