Axe Fire Protection is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Technician/Inspector to work in Edmonton and surrounding areas. We are offering a positive work place, competitive wages, Notifier (Honeywell) training and room for growth.Responsibilities:
- Programming of Fire Alarm Notifier Panels
- Perform annual fire alarm inspections as per CAN/ULC-S53
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems.
- Complete reports precisely and in a timely manner.
- Install fire alarm panels and devices
- Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
Preferred Educational/Technical Requirements:
- Multiple years of experience in the fire alarm industry. Preferably 4 + years.
- Qualified to perform inspections under the Alberta Fire Code (CFAA registered and or Alberta Journeyman electrical ticket).
- Experience in performing fire alarm inspections and completing fire alarm reports.
- Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel

*Strong understanding of fire alarm wiring
Other Requirements
- General knowledge of and use of hand tools
- Excellent problemsolving skills
- Organized with an attention to detail
- Positive and professional customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract
_Compensation is based on skills and experience_
Salary:
$32.00-$42.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
