Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Receiver / Shipping Specialist to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the inflow and outflow of materials, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining accurate inventory records.


Responsibilities:


Material Receiving:
Receive incoming materials, verifying their accuracy and quantity against purchase orders and packing lists.

Inspection and Quality Control:
Inspect received materials for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.

Inventory Management:
Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and categorization of materials to facilitate easy retrieval.

Shipping Coordination:
Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate packing, labeling, and documentation in compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures.

Logistics Coordination:

Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange timely and cost-effective transportation of materials to meet production demands and customer orders.


Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and inventory levels.

Communication:
Effectively communicate with various departments, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate material movements and resolve any related issues.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and compliance regulations in handling materials, equipment, and shipments.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose improvements to enhance efficiency in material handling and logistics.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are delivered in a timely manner, supporting smooth manufacturing operations.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Material Receiver, Shipping Clerk, or similar role in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ability to operate them safely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in material tracking and documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects when required.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.

Salary:
$13.70-$23.08 per hour
