SCHEDULING CLERK for casual employment.

As a member of the KRRC Team, you will play an active role in the implementation of our programs and services supporting persons with intellectual disabilities and various diagnosis towards a client-centred alliance fostering independence, community integration, life experiences and supported decision making.


Position Scope


Responsible to the Scheduling Manager, with accountability to the Directors of Client Care, the Staff Scheduler is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of staff schedules
for both In-Centre and Community Programs consistent with the mission, vision, and philosophy of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC).


Qualifications

  • Business or Information Technology Diploma or equivalent. Experience in Computerized scheduling systems. Experience in employee scheduling in a unionized environment is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Under the direction of the Scheduling Manager, the Scheduling Clerk collaborates with the Nursing Supervisor, Program Managers, and Area Supervisors to administer staffing objectives for units/homes and the vocational service centers.
  • On a daily basis, organizes, coordinates, schedules and communicates with staff in accordance with collective agreements and established polices and procedures.
  • Receives and processes schedule requests, allocates shift assignments, and prepares and adjusts daily schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Performs timekeeping and scheduling duties, such as receiving and entering employee information and requests into computerized scheduling system.
  • Compiles data and statistics regarding staffing information as requested.
  • Liaises with the Scheduling Manager and communicates process or systems problems and works with Human Resources and payroll to resolve these problems.
  • Liaises with Program Managers concerning unit/area Human Resources including staff availability and utilization of resources.
  • Maximizes schedule to ensure overtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
