Education:

Journeyman EMST or equivalent

Credentials:
Journeyman EMST, with AC/DC Mechanical/Electrical experience, or 1st to 4th Period Apprentice

Experience:
Electric Motor Repair-Rewind.

Languages:
Speak, read, and write English

Major Work Area:
Shop, indoor work

Area of Specialization:
Electromechanical Equipment Repair

Specific Skills:

Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of electromechanical equipment
Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment
Repair or replace damaged components and wiring
Wind and install various types of coils
Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors
Test to ensure proper performance
Perform onsite servicing and repair

Own Tools/Equipment:
Basic hand tools for trade and steel-toe safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, team environment

Transportation/Travel Information:
Valid driver's license

Essential Skills:

Time management, reading text, document understanding and use, written and oral communication, working well with others, problem solving, critical thinking, significant use of memory, computer knowledge.

Other:
Journeyman ticket preferred, but not mandatory. Equivalent training/work experience may be acceptable.

Salary:
$27.00-$50.00 per hour
