Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

Future challenges

  • The Water Treatment Coordinator performs the following duties in accordance with applicable safety standards:
  • Coordinate, plan and control the operation and improvement activities of the drinking water production, wastewater treatment as well as surface mining water treatment facilities;
  • Work in close collaboration with the maintenance departments and participate in the reliability of the facilities;
  • Ensure the writing of followup, scientific and technical reports;
  • Participate actively in the implementation of new water treatment plants;
  • Leads optimization projects for water treatment plants, whether in terms of production, health and safety, automation or computerization of processes;
  • Supervise the personnel of his sector;
  • Plan the sampling and analysis of water in his sector;
  • Promote and comply with company health and safety requirements;
  • Performs any other related duties as required by his supervisor.

Profile required

  • Education and relevant experience:
  • Have a college diploma (DEC) in water treatment and have more than 5 years of experience in the field of water treatment or mining water treatment, OR;
  • Have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (environmental or water specialty is an asset) and have more than 2 years' experience in the water treatment sector.
  • Knowledge of physicalchemical processes of decanter/integrated sludge tanker/sludge recirculation.
  • Knowledge of drinking water and wastewater regulations;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite;
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license.

Nice to have

  • Bilingualism (French and functional English);
  • Holder of certificates of qualification in wastewater treatment and/or drinking water.
