Rental Supervisor - Thunder Bay, Canada - Driving Force
Description
DRIVING FORCE is currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Rental Supervisor in our Thunder Bay location to support the Rentals department.
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about delivering the highest levels of service and developing long-lasting relationships within the branch.
The Rental Supervisor is responsible for providing exceptional service experience for customers and supporting the Rental Manager with the training, scheduling, and supervision of department employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Rental Manager in leading the Rental department in the branch
- Serving customers in person and over the phone with renting or returning rental vehicles
- Establishing customer relationships by building rapport, becoming familiar with the specific needs, expectations and requirements of target rentals customers
- Organizing and ensuring that rental vehicle deliveries and pickups continually meet agreed conditions and deadlines
- Providing walk arounds with customers and completing condition reports
- Opening and closing Rental Agreements and completing necessary paperwork
- Scheduling vehicles for cleanup and maintenance
- Working with vendors to arrange vehicle maintenance and coordinate any repairs
- Checking and signing off on the Daily Business Report (DBR)
- Monitoring overdue rentals and mitigating bad debt exposure through persistent followup
- Responding to customer complaints in a timely and appropriate manner
- Providing direction to Rentals team on customer service excellence
- Provide oversight of daily operations including the rental counter activity
- Supporting the Rental department by driving and cleaning vehicles as necessary
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a supervisory role in retail or similar industry
- Excellent leadership skills with the passion to help mentor a successful team
- Strong alignment with the DRIVING FORCE values

- A commitment to delighting customers through attitude, attention, and effort
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Able to solve problems independently following company guidelines and policies
