Role Summary:


As a Launch Coordinator, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful launch of new seating projects within the company's manufacturing operations.

You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating all activities related to the just-in-time delivery system, ensuring that production lines are ready, materials are available, and processes are optimized to meet project timelines and quality standards.

You will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful launch and production of new seating projects, contributing to the company's overall growth and success in the automotive manufacturing industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop launch plans for new seating projects and new model year changes.
  • Coordinate and track all activities associated with product launch, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular meetings and communication channels with various stakeholders to provide updates on launch progress, address issues, and resolve conflicts.
  • Develop and maintain the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) system information for new product.
  • Maintain BOM information for existing and new product.
  • Develop and maintain timelines for existing and new product to be reported in weekly PCN Meeting.
  • Effectively communicate product issues with appropriate departments as well as Project Managers.
  • Program Coordinator for all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities Evaluate the manufacturability of all product design proposals and evaluate engineering change feasibility through production trial runs.
  • Developing work holding fixtures, mistakeproofing devices and material racking/handling systems.
  • Continuously evaluate existing JIT processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
  • Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks or issues affecting production performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting problemsolving techniques, encouraging employee engagement, and supporting Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Evaluate employee suggestions and assist in implementing approved ideas.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize the impact on production timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary preventive measures to mitigate risks associated with JIT implementation and production launch.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, highlighting areas of success and areas requiring attention.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members involved in launch activities, fostering a collaborative and resultsoriented working environment.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring clear communication and alignment within the team.
  • Conduct training sessions for production personnel to ensure a smooth transition from prelaunch to full production
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, industryspecific regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of launch activities, project plans, process changes, and any other relevant information.
  • Engineering deliverables. This would include involvement in all 8D quality investigations.
  • Developing and maintaining Operation Description Sheets (ODS's), PFD and PFMEA for all manufacturing operations
  • Other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager
