Agfa HealthCare has a current opening for a
Technical Support - Product Training 20-month contract for its Waterloo location (hybrid environment - remote / Waterloo)


We seek a technically competent and positive team player to join our product training team who can work with both (SME) Subject Matter Experts and Instructional Designers to design, implement and maintain internal and third-party training environments to ensure the success of virtually hosted lab and traditional classroom based training for the Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging solution.


The Key Activities of this role include:

  • Design and implement intricate scripts to check system config/settings/status for virtual hosted lab environment.
  • Stage physical machines and provide IT support to instructors
  • Assess and adapt existing systems to the changing business needs and continually improve efficiencies in the training process.
  • Troubleshoot systems to provide optimal performance and enduser experience.
  • Triage and resolve support incidents, engaging other stakeholders as needed.

Skills & Knowledge:


Technical

  • Possess a solid knowledge of networks, virtual machines, load performance, and operating systems (Windows and Linux) and their ideal configuration to provide an optimum lab experience for the end user.
  • Proven hands on experience with PowerShell, Bash (preferably RedHat), SQL, DNS/DHCP
  • Beneficial but not necessary: knowledge of and/or experience with Restful APIs & Postman, Webprogramming (preferably with PHP), Veeam & Snap Deploy, WinOS,.NET, VMware Workstation, Jira, Livelink, Confluence Wiki, MS Office

Interpersonal

  • An aptitude for challenging the norm, making "out of the box" suggestions, and embracing change.
  • Possess strong analytical and independent research skills combined with a problemsolver attitude.
  • Capable of planning, organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with an attention to detail to contribute to projects and propose solutions.

Education & Experience:


  • College diploma or Bachelor degree in Informatics or IT.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a technical support role in training or IT environment.
